We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven Steel Sales Executive to join our growing team. This role is ideal for a confident sales professional with construction knowledge who thrives in both an office and field-based environment.
The Steel Sales Executive will be responsible for converting leads into sales, proactively canvassing construction sites, and building relationships with contractors, site managers, and decision-makers. Duties :
Lead Follow-Up & Sales Conversion
* Proactively follow up on quotes via phone, email, and site visits.
* Build strong relationships with potential clients, understanding their needs.
* Negotiate, overcome objections, and close deals to meet sales targets.
Field Canvassing & Business Development
* Identify and visit active construction sites to generate new business.
* Offer Steelo’s steel fabrication services directly to site managers and procurement teams.
* Use construction industry knowledge to establish credibility and trust.
Client Relationship Management
* Develop and nurture long-term relationships with clients.
* Work closely with the estimating team for seamless project handovers.
* Ensure excellent customer service to encourage repeat business.
Sales Performance & Reporting
* Track leads, conversions, and sales performance.
* Provide regular feedback on sales trends and market opportunities.
* Identify ways to improve the sales process and increase conversion rates.
Skills and qualifications:
We are looking for a highly motivated, driven individual with strong negotiation skills and a passion for sales.
Essential Skills:
✔ Proven sales experience – ideally in construction or steel fabrication.
✔ Strong ability to persuade, negotiate, and close deals.
✔ Comfortable with on-site selling and cold approaches.
✔ Self-motivated, with excellent time management and organization.
✔ Resilient and confident in handling objections and rejections.
✔ Ability to build relationships and understand client needs.
✔ Valid driving license & own car – required for site visits (car allowance provided).
Full training on Steelo’s products, pricing, and sales process.
Ongoing coaching and mentoring from the Sales Manager.
Access to CRM & lead management tools to track progress.
Regular sales team meetings to share strategies and insights.
Offer Details:
Location: Hybrid – Office in Feltham TW4 + Regular Site Visits
Car Allowance Provided for travel to construction sites
Salary: £32,000 + Uncapped Commission + Bonus
