Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced NVQ Level 3 qualified Fabricator/Welder to join their workshop team. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out high quality welding and fabrication processes. This role involves mainly workshop work, working with metal components to create high-quality assemblies and structures, ensuring adherence to high safety standards and specifications.
Responsibilities:
Perform MMA/MIG welding to a high standard on various materials, ensuring precision and quality in all welds.
Utilise hand tools and power tools for cutting, shaping, and assembling metal parts.
Travel to client sites UK wide to carry out site installation and welding tasks.
Conduct thorough inspections of completed work to ensure compliance with quality standards.
Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
Demonstrate mechanical knowledge by troubleshooting equipment issues as they arise.
Apply basic maths skills for measurements and calculations during fabrication processes.Requirements:
Proven experience in welding, particularly with MIG/TIG and MMA methods.
Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment.
Experience with balustrades.
Mechanical knowledge is essential for effective problem-solving on the job.
Hold full UK driving licence
Basic maths skills are required for accurate measurements and calculations.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
