We are seeking a proactive and hands-on Field Engineer to inspect, maintain, and support the operation of hydrogen tube trailers and other pressure equipment assets deployed across the UK. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical or process understanding of industrial gases, experience of maintenance of pressure systems, and preferably hold an ADR certification for the transportation of hazardous goods.

Conduct field inspections, maintenance, and servicing of hydrogen tube trailers and associated pressure equipment.
Perform routine and reactive maintenance, ensuring equipment is safe, compliant, and operating efficiently.
Ensure all work complies with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards
Maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance activities, and equipment condition.
Support commissioning and decommissioning of pressure equipment at field locations.
Liaise with Project management, logistics, and HSE teams to ensure timely and effective deployment and operation of equipment.
Participate in risk assessments and support root cause analysis of equipment failures or incidents.

Minimum NVQ L3 qualification or relevant apprenticeship
~3+ years’ experience working as a technician within the industrial gases sector.
~ Proven field experience with pressure equipment, ideally in industrial gas, oil & gas, or chemical sectors.
~ Familiarity with conducting planned preventative maintenance in alignment with OEM guidance.
~ Working knowledge of technical documents & drawings including P&IDs, electrical diagrams & control logic flow diagrams
~ Experience in the generation of method statements & risk assessments as well as familiarity with permit to work schemes.
~ Flexible working practice including shift patterns.
~ Familiar in contractor management
~ Willingness to travel and work independently across various sites in the UK.
~ Full UK driving license.


ADR certification for the carriage of dangerous goods by road (Class 2 – gases).
Knowledge of hydrogen systems and high-pressure gas transportation.
