About the role The History of Science Museum at the University of Oxford is seeking a passionate and dynamic individual as its curator of the Scientific Revolution and Industrial Age(s) with a special emphasis on the Museum’s globally important collection of microscopes, and in particular the recently acquired Paul Greenbaum collection. The postholder will contribute to research, teaching and public engagement and will thus have an outstanding ability to communicate with a wide range of audiences onsite, offsite and online. The role also requires hands-on work with the collections and will thus collaborate closely with collections managers and conservators. This is a full-time, permanent role working 37.5 hours per week. About You You will have a PhD degree in a relevant scientific subject or equivalent experience, with significant experience in museum curation, particularly with historical or scientific collections from the 1750-1900 period and microscopes.
