Job summary
The main purpose of the role is to facilitate the efficient running of the unit by receiving patients onto the unit, ensuring all patients are checked in and out and that future appointments are booked. The post holder will also assist the medical and nursing teams with clerical tasks. All aspects of administration will be conducted according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and trust policies.
This is a permanent full time post (37.5 hours) to be worked across Monday to Friday. A Standard DBS will be required.
The postholder must have NVQ Level 2 in a relevant subject as well as transferable experience.
Evidence of qualifications, listed in the essential criteria on the person specification. Will be required at interview and during compliance checks.

Re-arrange clinics to accommodate staff absence.
Ensure that annual leave does not occur at the same time as colleagues.
Provide cover for colleagues across the Division and at other trusts who deliver chemotherapy activity in times of sickness and annual leave therefore will be familiar with systems and processes in all areas.

Communications and Key Working Relationships
Exchange information with patients and staff on the admission and discharge of patients, both verbally and in written format.
