Do you have experience working hands-on with automation approaches and tools in an infrastructure engineering or operations capacity? Do you want to be deeply involved in exciting strategic automation and want to contribute to our cloud transformation for Aviva?
We are looking for passionate Cloud engineering professional to join our diverse and growing team to shape and actively contribute to the future of Cloud Service Desk and Service Reliability engineering teams in Aviva.
A bit about the job:
Manage BAU tasks to support Cloud Hosting Platform Services in AWS and Microsoft Azure, including incident and problem management, patching, rebuilding, recoverability, and ensuring security compliance
Oversee performance of the sourcing partner, taking action to improve service delivery for end consumers
Drive continuous improvements across the Cloud Platform services by identifying, raising, and managing enhancement opportunities
Lead automation of recurring operational tasks to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention
Manage the operational acceptance of new services transitioned from Platform Engineering and Cloud Enablement teams into BAU, and provide service performance insights and recommendations through regular management information
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
Valid qualifications in AWS and/or Azure Fundamentals (at minimum)
Extensive experience with cloud platform hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS) and/or Microsoft Azure
Extensive experience of scripting languages such as Ansible, Python or Ruby.
Experience with continuous integration tools such as Jenkins and the use of tools for deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting of system resources
Experience of ITIL, specifically incident and problem management

Starting salary circa £65,000 for National based or circa £75,000 for London based (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
