Role Description
This role is designed for an experienced engineer with a depth of knowledge of electrical distribution switching, protection, automation with control products and their applications. A key competency is the ability to creatively and strategically position product features. You will support our portfolio of products and services for electric utilities throughout the EMEA region. Success in this position requires effective communication with customer personnel at all organizational levels, including executives, engineers, procurement teams, administrative staff and operations personnel. The role requires a willingness to support products in the field and provide emergency assistance when necessary. Frequent travel and overnight stays with some international travels are expected within this role.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
* Support our Salespersons in the EMEA Region
* Provide primary technical support to customers for S&C Products
* Assist in conducting customer training sessions and training S&C personnel on S&C Equipment
* Recognizing and adhering to standard industry safety practices and S&C safety procedures.
* Ability to add to product design to meet the requirements of the EMEA markets.
* Familiarity with utility protection systems and protection analysis as it pertains to distribution feeders.
* Basic understanding of utility systems and planning practices
* Sales support and Customer support.
* Other tasks may be assigned at the discretion of the company.
Qualifications
* Degree in Engineering or equivalent with 3+ years hands on experience in this or a similar role.
* Chartered Engineer (CEng) status (desirable)
* Experience of working with DNOs
* Computer skills that include working with Word, Excel, Oracle, Salesforce.
* Effective communication skills both verbal and written
* Knowledge of the application and operation of medium/high voltage electrical equipment.
* Strong organizational and time management skills, with demonstrated ability to meet deadlines.
