Contract: Permanent, Term Time Only (plus INSET days required) Hours: 20 hours per week, 8:30am – 1:30pm (flexible) Grade: £11,656 to £12,106 Responsible to: Headteacher Start date: September 2026 About the Role Watling Meadows Primary School is delighted to welcome applications for the post of Administration Officer to start September 2026. Watling Meadows Primary School is a new and growing school, with a strong focus on Early Years, inclusion and pupil wellbeing. · Our first cohort will be Reception in September 2026, expanding year‑on‑year. · High‑quality learning environments with a strong emphasis on early language, communication and reading. · A values‑led culture that is warm, ambitious and inclusive. Key information about the school • Location: Callendar Farm, Nuneaton • Opening: September 2026 • Pupil Places: 420 (Two-Form Entry) • SEND Provision: Specialist Resource Provision (SRP) for 14 children with communication and interaction needs (Incremental admission numbers that increase with the PAN) • Part of a Local Multi-Academy Trust: Strong collaborative culture, shared professional development, and strategic support • School Group: 3 Important Information The provisional opening date for this Brand-New School has been confirmed as September 2026. The Role The Administration Officer provides comprehensive clerical and administrative support to the school, working closely with senior leaders, teachers and support staff. You will act as a key contact for parents and visitors, manage day to day office systems, support attendance and pupil records, and ensure that safeguarding and confidentiality procedures are upheld at all times. This role requires excellent organisational skills, a calm and professional manner, and the ability to manage a varied workload in a busy school environment. Key Responsibilities Reception and Frontline Services • Act as the first point of contact for parents, carers, visitors, contractors and staff • Respond professionally to enquiries by telephone, email and in person • Ensure visitors follow safeguarding procedures, including signing in, issuing badges and monitoring site security Administrative and Clerical Support • Maintain accurate pupil and school records using the school Management Information System (e.g. SIMS / Arbor) • Undertake general office duties including filing, scanning, photocopying and record keeping • Process incoming and outgoing post and email correspondence Attendance and Data • Support daily attendance procedures and maintain accurate attendance records • Collate attendance and pupil data for leaders and external returns as required • Maintain security and visitor logs Communication and Correspondence • Draft, send and distribute letters, emails and routine communications to parents and carers • Support administrative arrangements for school events, meetings and visits • Handle confidential information with discretion at all times Financial and Routine Office Tasks • Support routine financial processes, including raising purchase orders and processing invoices • Assist with monitoring office supplies and arranging orders when necessary Safeguarding and Confidentiality • Uphold all safeguarding policies and procedures • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive personal and pupil information • Report any safeguarding concerns promptly in line with school procedures General Responsibilities • Work collaboratively as part of the wider school team • Demonstrate flexibility and a willingness to adapt to the needs of a growing school • Attend training and INSET days as required • Comply with all school policies and procedures, including health and safety and data protection How to Apply If you are interested in applying for this post, please click on this link https://centralenglandacademytrust.face-ed.co.uk/vacancies and select the Administration Officer position.
