Interim Head of Finance
Location: North West (hybrid/remote working)
We are seeking an Interim Head of Finance for a 4 to 6‑month assignment with an evolving local authority. In this role you will be highly committed, focusing on delivering an exceptional, high‑quality service that enables and informs organizational decision‑making.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide strong leadership for financial management and control for the Authority.
* Provide a proactive and comprehensive financial planning, reporting and analysis service for the authority.
* Work with senior managers throughout the organisation to develop and maintain a robust Medium‑Term Financial Strategy, maximizing funding flexibilities and best utilising new funding powers.
* Lead, inspire, and motivate the finance services team.
Essential Experience
* CIPFA or CCAB Qualified.
* Substantial experience leading professional finance services within a large and complex local government environment.
* Experience working as a finance professional at a senior level in a public sector organisation.
* Ability to lead, inspire and motivate teams within finance services.
