About The Role
As one of our Customer Delivery Drivers, you’ll bring the unique blend of quality Waitrose produce and Partner‑led service right to customers’ doors. When not on the road, you’ll support the shop team with daily tasks such as stock replenishment and housekeeping, contributing to an efficient and productive shop environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Check delivery routes for the day.
* Load and prepare your van for deliveries, ensuring all orders are together and can be delivered efficiently.
* Perform all vehicle safety checks, maintaining full road compliance, health and safety standards.
* Provide outstanding customer service while on the road, being an ambassador for the Waitrose brand.
* Assist customers with their shopping and build rapport based on trust and service.
* Support the wider shop team with general shopkeeping tasks when required.
Essential skills / Experience
* Full valid B‑Category UK manual driving licence with no more than 6 points.
* Excellent customer service skills.
* Strong time‑management skills.
* Physical ability to lift crates and move cages.
* Independent, self‑motivated and adaptable.
* IT literate.
Desirable skills / Experience
* Previous driving experience and knowledge of chilled vehicles.
