We are looking for an experienced Clients Accounts Assistant to join our client accounting team on a 3 month fixed term contract. This role will be based at our Shrewsbury office and the post holder will manage the accounts for our residential client portfolio.
The postholder will be part of team of 17 professionals with a range of specialisms and extensive experience. We are a multi service office, supporting our rural, planning and minerals requirements for our clients across the region.

Key Responsibilities:
* Posting receipts onto the Reapit software, using a bank upload process.
* Investigating overpayments and other receipt queries.
* Reviewing supplier invoices uploaded to the system.
* Processing internet bank transfers and payments.
* Ensuring funds are paid out on a timely basis via the daily BACS runs.
* Working closely with other Carter Jonas offices in a professional and friendly manner.
* Carrying out all administrative and ad hoc duties in connection with the role.
* Ensuring systems are updated on a timely and accurate basis.
* Supporting other members of the client accounting team and providing cover in periods of absence of other team members.
What will it take to be successful?
Ideally, you will have excellent organisational and administrative skills and the ability to think logically. You will have the ability to work both supervised and unsupervised, making decisions effectively and efficiently. Strong communication skills, a professional approach, and great time management skills are essential. It is crucial to have excellent attention to detail and accuracy, be enthusiastic and pro-active with strong numeral and written analytical skills. Strong interpersonal skills, good commercial awareness, and teamwork are extremely important. You must be fully computer literate with a thorough understanding of MS Office programmes, particularly Excel. A clear financial record is required, and the position is subject to a credit check.
