Bradford Hybrid
Hybrid (3 days a week) from a client site in Bradford.
What will you be doing day‑to‑day?
* Own and drive the operational performance and continuous improvement of key security platforms, including Palo Alto Cortex, Rapid 7, Forescout.
* Define and execute strategies for automation and orchestration to reduce manual overhead and improve response times.
* Act as the primary liaison with technology vendors, driving roadmap alignment and feature adoption.
* Streamline workflows and enhance incident response capabilities, driving improvements in overall security posture.
* Work closely with internal teams to ensure alignment with security policies and objectives, translating technical requirements into business‑focused outcomes.
* Manage technical escalation and provide guidance to the analyst and engineering team.
* Assist in implementation and secure design of secure applications, software integrations, identity providers, and networks.
* Assist in documenting standard operating procedures for operation playbooks, configuration guides, secure standards and build configurations.
* Develop and maintain customer relationships through regular engagement, assisting in the maturity of services.
* Ensure platforms are compliant, resilient and optimised; oversee optimisation of controls and policies in line with business direction.
* Ensure end‑to‑end service assurance by monitoring and validating performance and availability of scoped services, proactively identifying risk and driving incident and problem resolution to maintain agreed SLAs.
* Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date operating procedures for operations, escalation and technology.
What You’ll Need
* Experience within operations or service‑management roles.
* In‑depth knowledge of security principles, protocols, and technologies.
* Hands‑on experience with security solutions, such as Microsoft Sentinel, Defender, Function Apps, Logic Apps, Cortex XDR, Rapid 7 and ServiceNow.
* Ability to manage vendor relationships to drive better business outcomes.
* Strong understanding of network security, endpoint security, identity and access management, and data protection concepts.
* Experience with security compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR).
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
* A very strong understanding of both Microsoft Windows and Linux‑based operating systems, including administrative controls and security controls.
* Industry‑specific certifications, such as Security+, Microsoft certifications; SC‑200, Palo Alto, Rapid 7, ITIL.
* Security clearance or ability to attain a security clearance.
