Overview
Electrical Assessor (Training Advisor) 0.6 FTE. Part time, Permanent, 22.2 hours per week. Salary up to £20,535 per annum. Location: Middlesbrough College Main Campus, TS2 1AD. Contractual hours: 22.2 per week. Pension: NEST Pension. Annual Leave: 30 days per annum plus bank holidays (pro rata). Reporting to: Associate Director of Apprenticeships.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Plan, conduct and participate in induction and initial assessment of learners to identify learning priorities and, in liaison with the employer, develop individual learning plans with realistic completion targets. Ensure employers understand the requirement for Apprentices to complete off the job training.
* Develop, manage and maintain relationships with external partners, local employers and appropriate agencies to recruit learners.
* Provide information, advice and guidance to learners and employers to promote learning and timely achievement of agreed learning aims and SMART objectives.
* Assess knowledge, skills and behaviours, and the delivery and assessment of Functional Skills and competencies within the NVQ programme.
* Maintain a minimum caseload of learners. Assist them to achieve NVQ qualifications and the Apprenticeship Standard, and prepare them for End Point Assessment.
* Develop business with existing employers and identify new opportunities.

* Level 3 Electrical Installation – Essential
* Qualified Electrician – Essential
* English and Maths GCSE grade C or above or equivalent – Essential
* TAQA or A1 assessor qualification, or willingness to work towards – Desirable
* Teaching qualification, or willingness to work towards – Desirable
* Award in Internal Verification or V1, or willingness to work towards – Desirable
* Must hold a current driving licence
