Our client is a growing SME that specialises in producing high quality injection moulding tooling solutions for various industries. Due to securing further projects and growth within the business they are looking for an experienced Injection Mould Toolmaker to join the team.
Role & Responsibilities:
Manufacturing & modification of injection mould tools
Using aluminium, stainless steel & engineering plastics materials
Wiring of hot runner systems & fault finding
Use of CNC machines - Hurco, Bridgeport, XYZ
EDM Machines - CNC wire eroder & spark eroder
Use of manual milling machines, lathes, surface & cylindrical grinders
Work to high tolerance and engineering drawings
Using hand tools such as files, hacksaws, grinders
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
Must have at least 3 years experience in injection mould toolmaking and high precision machining
Working in a small team - need to be a team player
Level 3 qualified or higher
Manual CNC machining skills - milling, grinding, use of lathes
Ideally have worked with Hurco, Bridgeport, XYZ CNC machinery
Able to work to tight time scales, high tolerances & precision
Experience of maintenance, repair, fitting, assembly & modification of injection mould tools
Ideally have done wiring of hot runner systems
