We are currently recruiting for a Chartered Financial Planning practice in Tunbridge Wells who are looking to recruit a Paraplanner to join their team.

ROLE
To assist advisers in all aspects of providing advice to clients.

KEY FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES

1. 1. Product Research
2. The technical and practical evaluation of products within the range specified in your personal job description; sharing product information with advisers and paraplanners.
3. 2. Financial Planning
4. To assist the development and implementation of a strategy that will enable a client to meet financial objectives.
5. 3. Presentation Of Advice
6. To prepare letters, reports and other documents as part of the advice process including reviews.
7. 4. Meeting Preparation
8. To help advisers prepare for client meetings including the preparation of all relevant paperwork.
9. 5. Client Reviews
10. To update client records, analyse progress and present information in accordance with our Annual Review Procedures.
11. 6. Compliance
12. To help ensure that all dealings with clients are in accordance with internal and regulatory guidelines.
13. 7. Treating Customers Fairly
14. To help ensure that we always deal with clients fairly.
15. 8. System Development
16. To assist in the development of systems and procedures in respect of all points above.
17. 9. Special projects
18. To assist with special projects at the request of the Partners

REQUIREMENTS

19. Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a technical paraplanner within the financial
20. services industry.

Knowledge and experience of:

➢ personal financial planning
➢ pre and post retirement planning
➢ investment funds and asset allocation
➢ tax treatment of different fund types and product wrappers
➢ investment, pension and annuity products
➢ financial planning legislation
➢ tax legislation
➢ FCA compliance requirements

21. Level 4 DipPFS preferable or working towards
22. A good standard of English and Mathematics
23. Communication skills – both verbal and written
24. Experience of both bespoke and templated report writing
25. Ability to obtain, assess and act on information
26. Highly organised
27. Excellent attention to detail
28. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Word & Excel
29. Previous experience of Defaqto, Select a Pension, FE Analytics and CashCalc an advantage
30. Common sense approach to work
31. Ability to work without supervision
32. Take responsibility for own caseload
33. Practical and logical decision making
34. Willingness to contribute to the general administration and development of the firm
