The FP&A Manager will lead the financial planning, forecasting, and analytical functions across the motor retail group. This role is pivotal in driving commercial decision-making, optimising profitability across our dealerships and business units (new cars, used cars, service, parts, and finance & insurance), and supporting the business development manager and managing director with strategic growth initiatives. The ideal candidate will combine strong analytical and leadership skills with a deep understanding of the automotive retail sector’s commercial and operational KPI’s. Build and maintain profit-driver financial models for scenario planning. Monitor and interpret key KPIs (sales, F&I, service margins, productivity). Deliver accurate management reports with clear insights and recommendations. Provide commercial analysis, business cases, and investment appraisals. Develop dashboards and MI for transparency and timely action. Act as a strategic business partner to Centre Principals and Managers. Challenge assumptions, support pricing strategies, and identify cost improvements. Drive collaboration between finance and operational teams. Lead and develop a high-performing FP&A team. Improve FP&A processes and implement planning/reporting tools. Create impactful presentations for senior leadership and PAG. Requirements Minimum Qualifications Qualified ACCA, CIMA or ACA Member Budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning. Strong commercial orientation and experience in motor retail (vehicle sales, service, parts) or similar fast paced retail environment. Understanding of a dealership P&L, vehicle margins and manufacturer bonus structures etc Expertise in forecasting, scenario modelling and interpreting key retail KPIs. Desirable Qualifications: Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills and familiarity with BI & ERP systems are desirable Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.
