Our client is a leading boutique hotel operator in the Lake District. They are currently looking to recruit a dynamic and dedicated Hotel Manager to support the General Manager and oversee the day-to-day operations and ensure a superior guest experience. This pivotal role demands a meticulous eye for detail, exceptional organisational skills, and a passion for exceeding guest expectations. Under the guidance of the General Manger, and as the face of our hotel, you will embody our commitment to high standards and lead a team dedicated to excellence.

Key Responsibilities

People Management

1. Inspire and lead a team to deliver outstanding hospitality.

2. Empower staff to anticipate and meet guest needs with autonomy.

3. Conduct regular training and development to uphold first-class service levels.

4. Maintain effective communication through regular meetings and briefings.

Product Management

5. Ensure consistent delivery of high standards across all departments.

6. Maintain a safe, clean, and inviting environment.

7. Continuously seek ways to enhance the guest experience.

8. Support company initiatives and uphold service excellence in all areas.

Process Management

9. Oversee daily operations efficiently and effectively.

10. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and HR procedures.

11. Collaborate with the Executive Chef to optimise F&B operations.

12. Stay informed of and communicate hotel updates and changes.

Profit Management

13. Control operational costs and manage budgets proactively.

14. Ensure accurate stock control and resource planning.

15. Optimise staff rotas to meet wage percentage targets.

16. Report and investigate any accounting discrepancies.

Skills and Qualifications

17. Proven experience in hotel management or a similar leadership role.

18. Strong commercial and financial acumen.

19. Ability to train, develop, and retain a high-performing team.

20. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

21. Proficiency in IT systems and knowledge of Rezlynx is an advantage.

22. Familiarity with relevant legislation (Food Safety, Health & Safety, Liquor Licensing).

23. Outgoing personality with a passion for customer service.
