A growing digital marketing agency are looking to appoint a Social Media Manager to lead organic social strategy across a portfolio of consumer brands.
This is a key hire within the business and offers the opportunity to take ownership of social strategy across multiple client accounts, working closely with creative and client services teams to deliver high-quality, performance-driven campaigns.
The Social Media Manager will be responsible for developing and delivering organic social media strategies that align with broader marketing objectives and drive measurable results.
This role requires a balance of strategic thinking, creative direction and client management, with responsibility for both campaign planning and execution oversight.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and implement organic social media strategies across multiple client accounts
* Ensure all activity is aligned with client objectives and informed by audience insight and platform best practice
* Define channel strategies across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and emerging platforms
* Oversee content planning, including calendars and campaign frameworks
Campaign Delivery
* Lead the ideation and development of social-first campaigns
* Collaborate with internal creative teams to deliver high-quality content
* Ensure all output is aligned with brand tone of voice and platform requirements
* Maintain consistent standards across all client work
Client Management
* Act as the primary social media contact for a portfolio of clients
* Lead client meetings, presenting strategies, plans and performance insights
* Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships
* Manage feedback effectively and ensure client expectations are met
Influencer & Creator Partnerships
* Identify and manage influencer and creator collaborations
* Oversee campaign planning, outreach and delivery
* Monitor performance and optimise activity accordingly
Performance & Reporting
* Produce clear, insight-led reports and recommendations
* Continuously refine strategies based on data and platform developments
Community & Engagement
* Oversee community management across client channels
* Ensure consistent brand voice and engagement standards
* Maintain high levels of responsiveness and quality of interaction
Team Contribution
* Support and mentor junior members of the social team
* Contribute to internal best practices and processes
* Support the agency’s own social presence and new business initiatives
* Stay informed on platform updates, trends and industry developments
Candidate Profile
The successful candidate will have a strong agency background and experience managing multiple client accounts, with the ability to lead both strategy and client relationships.
Requirements:
* 3-4 years’ experience in social media, primarily within an agency environment
* Strong understanding of Instagram, TikTok and Facebook, and their distinct roles
* Experience presenting to clients and managing senior stakeholders
* A balance of creative thinking and data-led decision making
* Experience mentoring or supporting junior team members
Skills & Experience
* Proficiency in social media scheduling and reporting tools (e.g. Sprout Social or similar)
* Strong copywriting skills across a range of brand tones
* Experience with short-form video editing tools (e.g. CapCut, Premiere Pro)
* Working knowledge of design tools such as Canva or Photoshop
* Experience managing influencer and creator campaigns
* Experience contributing to new business pitches or proposals
* Understanding of paid social and its integration with organic strategy
