About the Role
As a Part‑Time SEN Learning Tutor, you will work with learners who may have Autism, ADHD, SEMH needs, or who are working below age‑related expectations. Your role is to help them rebuild confidence, develop core skills, and re‑engage with learning through tailored, 1:1 sessions.
Key Responsibilities
6. Deliver engaging, personalised sessions in core subjects (Maths and/or English).
7. Adapt teaching approaches to meet the individual needs of SEN learners.
8. Create a safe, supportive, and encouraging learning environment.
9. Monitor progress and provide clear, constructive feedback to parents, carers, and professionals.
10. Build strong, trusting relationships that help learners thrive academically and emotionally.
Essential Requirements
11. Minimum 1 year’s experience teaching or tutoring.
12. Experience supporting SEN learners in a 1:1 or small‑group setting.
13. Right to work in the UK.
14. Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one).
Desirable Qualifications
15. PGCE, QTS, or equivalent teaching qualification.
16. Experience supporting learners with Autism, ADHD, or SEMH needs.
