The hours are not fixed, but the majority of shifts will be on Saturday and Sunday with shifts between the hours of 7am to 10pm dependent on bookings. Occasional weekday evenings may also be offered. The type of person we are looking for is likely to possess infectious enthusiasm, a reliable and highly organised individual, who can multi-task, with a professional and friendly disposition. He or she will be resilient, driven, determined, and ambitious. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a leading educational organisation at the cutting edge of educational development. This post is based at Tamworth at Landau Forte Academy Amington on Woodland Road and Landau Forte Academy QEMS and Sixth Form on the Ashby Road and will report to the LFE Manager. For any queries about the role or to arrange a tour of the site please contact Sophie Hammond shammond@lfct.org.uk Key Information Start date : ASAP Salary : £12.21 Closing Date : 16 June 2025 Person specification The person we are looking for should have experience in the following areas: Worked within the hospitality industry and have excellent customer service skills Experience in a facilities or building maintenance environment Duty manager experience/caretaker experience. A good multi tasker and logical thinker We are also looking for someone with the following skills and abilities: Able to work on his or her own initiative, be reliable and trustworthy Committed to the broader education of young people Able to work successfully as part of a highly effective team Excellent personal organisational skills and be a proactive, forward thinker Excellent time management skills Willingness to work unsociable hours to support the Academy facilities lettings business Excellent communication skills and confident working in a busy, demanding environment Job Description Duties for this job will include (but are not limited to): Meet and greet customers and facilitate the smooth running of external hires. Clearing and setting up of rooms including setting up of inflatables for parties Closing and securing the Academy including activation and deactivation of alarms Assisting with security issues Be the initial point of contact for all enquiries in person and via email Ensure all visitors are issued with badges in order to comply with the Academy's safety procedures Maintain a tidy and orderly work area across the site including the pool area Be responsible for all bookings during your working shift, ensuring the Academy is set correctly and kept tidy Working in the bar/coffee shop when required Carry out responsibilities with due regard to the Academy's policy, organisation and arrangements for Health & Safety at work. Landau Forte Academy Sixth Form is a purpose-built establishment providing Level 3 courses, both Advanced Level and BTEC, for the whole of Tamworth and beyond. The academies are located on a shared campus, but both operate from their own facilities, with Landau Forte Academy Sixth Form having new bespoke, accommodation, which opened in September 2011, with a new Sports Hall that opened in 2013. The local area Tamworth is a historic town surrounded by beautiful countryside, located a short distance from Birmingham. The Academy is located close to the centre of Tamworth, with superb transport links.
