A 17.5‑hour vacancy is available in the Trust's Main Switchboard department. The role covers the 24‑hour rota, including night shifts, bank holidays and weekends, and may require flexibility to cover colleagues' absences.
Responsibilities
* Action all emergency calls received.
* Program pagers as requested.
* Draft up rotas for departments within the Trust, both online and hard copies.
* Update online databases accurately.
* Complete online forms.
* Handle all Estate alarms.
* Contact emergency services when required.
* Remain calm and efficient when handling emergencies.
* Cover the 24/7 rota without issue.
* Cover unplanned absences at short notice.
* Manage high call volume, potentially answering 800+ calls during a shift.
