Responsibilities
* Lead and supervise a designated preschool room, ensuring high standards of care and education are maintained at all times.
* Develop and implement engaging, age-appropriate activities that support children’s developmental milestones.
* Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment that encourages curiosity and learning.
* Manage daily routines, including meal times, rest periods, and outdoor play, in accordance with organisational policies.
* Support and mentor junior staff members, providing guidance and professional development opportunities.
* Maintain effective communication with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and wellbeing.
* Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and safeguarding regulations within the setting.
* Organise resources efficiently to support educational activities and ensure cleanliness of the environment.
Requirements
* Strong working knowledge of childcare practices, nursery experience, and early childhood development principles.
* Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to liaise effectively with children, parents, and team members.
* Demonstrated ability to work with children in a caring, patient, and professional manner.
* Relevant qualifications in early childhood education or childcare (e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Childcare).
