Fixed Term Contract/ Secondment Opportunity until 31/3/27
We are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated nurse to join our Lung Screening Programme as the Lead Nurse Assessor. This is a pivotal leadership position supporting the delivery and development of the regional lung screening service at NNUH, part of the East of England Targeted Lung Health Check (TLHC) network.
As the Successful Candidate, You Will
* Play a key role in improving early detection of lung cancer and other respiratory conditions, reducing health inequalities and supporting patients through screening, assessment and follow-up.
* Provide leadership and management of the day-to-day running of the service, working collaboratively with radiology, respiratory medicine, primary care, community teams and regional screening partners.
* Liaise directly with Acute colleagues and coordinate the MDT meetings required to keep the flow of patient care effective between all providers.
The NNUH lung cancer service is led by Dr Russell Phillips, a Nurse Consultant, and a team of experienced clinical nurse specialists.

The post will include coordination of the service being delivered across multiple locations in line with local CT scanning capacity and patient choice, team leading and coordinating staff duties, ordering, lead for health and safety, the day-to-day link with our GP colleagues and community teams, Business Intelligence and Operational Lead. They will also be required to represent the service at appropriate meetings within the Trust and to promote the service to the wider health community.
Full time: 37.5 hours per week
