Job Description

RMS Recruitment is seeking an experienced and proactive Administrator to join our client’s fast-paced logistics team in Middlesbrough. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a leading specialist in the logistics industry, where every day brings new challenges and opportunities for growth.

Job Details:

1. Location: Middlesbrough
2. Position: Administrator
3. Type: long-term, ongoing temporary with the potential of becoming permanent for the right person.
4. Working Hours: Monday – Friday (6am – 2pm, 7am – 3pm, 9am – 5pm)
5. Salary: £13.43 per hour

About the Role:

As an Administrator, you’ll be responsible for supporting the logistics operations through a variety of administrative tasks. Your ability to manage multiple priorities, solve problems on the spot, and thrive under pressure will be essential in this dynamic environment.

6. Taking calls from clients and contractors and managing their requirements.
7. Using in house systems to update records including Oracle to update client details and manage accounts.
8. Using Excel Spreadsheets.
9. Confident on the phone.
10. Assisting the team with any queries.
11. Manage reception and visitors including Health and Safety.

About You:

12. This is an office-based role based in Middlesbrough. Due to the location of the office, we are looking for candidates who can drive and have their own transport.
13. Ability to work off own initiative but seek supervision when needed.
14. Proactive in offering support to team members, including managers / coordinators
15. Ability to organise and manage own time to complete tasks within time scales and to a very high standard. Readily lets managers know where they have capacity.
16. Be responsible for a range of regular tasks and to be able to undertake these without prompting.
17. Ability to follow instructions readily and adapt to new administration tasks as when these arise.
18. Ability to gel with an established team quickly.
19. Approachable, friendly and polite manner.
20. Excellent telephone manner.
21. Sound numeracy skills and confident in handling financial data in range of format.
22. Excellent administration skills with a range of software applications including word, outlook, database, excel, remote working methods such as Teams/Zoom.
23. Able to record information accurately and maintain high levels of confidentiality.
