Were supporting a well-established manufacturing business in Wakefield to recruit an Assistant Accountant.
This is a varied and hands-on role, ideal for someone with a strong foundation in finance and payroll, looking to broaden their responsibilities in a supportive and fast-paced environment.
The role includes:
* Managing the sales ledger: raising invoices, allocating payments, issuing statements, and resolving queries
* Chasing outstanding debts in line with agreed terms
* Processing payroll monthly and preparing related reports and pension uploads
Supporting wider finance tasks including:
* Posting cashbook entries and journals
* Bank reconciliations in multiple currencies
* Purchase ledger close-off and GRNI journals
* Monthly stock reporting and contribution to management accounts
* Post journals for the monthly Management Accounts
What were looking for:
* Previous experience in both payroll
* AAT qualified (or currently studying)
* Confident using Excel and accounting software (Sage payroll desirable)
