Parkhead Primary School serves the village of West Calder and sits within the West Calder High School cluster. At present, the school roll is 407 pupils in addition to a nursery provision for 67 children in the morning/afternoon and full day sessions. We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and organised Administrative Assistant to join our school team. The Admin Assistant role will have a clear focus on delivering high quality administrative support to the school. The successful candidate will deliver a wide range of admin functions and will follow West Lothian Council policies and procedures in order to support the effective day to day running of the school, working closely in partnership with staff, parents and learners. It is essential that you have experience of working in an administrative role within a busy office environment and be able to demonstrate a commitment and willingness to work flexibly in order to meet the needs of the service. It is also essential that you have knowledge of common IT systems including databases and Microsoft Office and have strong customer service, organisational and time management skills. It is preferable that you have knowledge of SEEMIS, PECOS and Microsoft Outlook.
