Planned Programmes is seeking a skilled Technical Officer who can work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. The role involves providing technical support to Gas Servicing, M&E, Domestic Heating Teams, Bathroom Project renewals, including site-based operatives and external contractors. You will be part of the Compliance/Planned Programmes Team, ensuring Gas and Electrical Compliance, Heating, and Bathroom installations are completed within BCC tenanted properties. Responsibilities include arranging Planned and Emergency tasks in tenanted homes and communal areas, and installing new heating systems using an automated workflow system. The role requires setting up systems and processes to deliver high-quality technical support for Compliance/Planned Programmes. You should have an eye for detail, be flexible, eager to learn, and proactive in managing workloads. Good communication skills are essential for engaging with tenants, contractors, Trade Teams, and colleagues to complete daily tasks. Managing Gas and Electrical Servicing, Cyclical Maintenance, Mechanical & Electrical Communal and Laundry Servicing, and planned/emergency heating and bathroom renewals for 28,000 tenancies. The service has undergone major transformation and is recognized for providing top-quality repairs and maintenance to our citizens. Your duties will include arranging work programmes, ad hoc and urgent repairs, and handling general office duties during operational hours. Excellent communication and customer service skills, along with knowledge of automated scheduling and MIS systems, are required. Daily Activities
Planning and coordinating work flow across planned and responsive repairs for external contractors and site-based resources. Loading jobs into MIS systems for in-house and external resources, and rescheduling appointments with customers. Collaborating with internal teams and liaising with external contractors to deliver effective services. Corresponding with customers, contractors, and stakeholders. Updating databases and systems.
