Regional Policy Manager Role Profile The Regional Policy Manager leads ICAEW's policy engagement with combined authorities, metro mayors, and devolved city-region and national governments. The postholder will ensure ICAEW is a trusted partner in regional economic policy debates, contributing insight on skills, investment, growth, sustainability, and professional services. Regional Policy Manager Responsibilities include: * Build and maintain relationships with metro mayors, combined authority leaders, and senior officials across city-regions and devolved governments in Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. * Act as the primary liaison for ICAEW with mayoral combined authorities, regional business groups, and civic institutions. * Ensure that regional policy insights inform ICAEW's wider policy positions and national advocacy * Represent ICAEW at regional events, conferences, and stakeholder meetings, acting as a visible ambassador for the profession. * Track policy, political, and funding developments across mayoral combined authorities and devolved administrations in Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. Regional Policy Manager Candidate Profile Regional Policy Manager Requirements include: * Proven experience in public affairs, policy, or stakeholder engagement, ideally with a focus on regional or devolved government. * Understanding of the structure and powers of mayoral combined authorities and metro mayors in England and devolved government in Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. * Ability to build and maintain relationships with senior political, governmental, and business stakeholders. * Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with experience preparing briefings and delivering presentations. * Political awareness and sound judgement, with the ability to navigate sensitive issues and complex stakeholder relations.
