7am) Pay Rate: £23 per hour Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and proactive Mechanical/Electrical Engineer to join our engineering team.
In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining mechanical and electrical systems to ensure optimal functionality and efficiency.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both mechanical and electrical engineering principles, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
Design, model, and analyze mechanical and electrical systems and components to meet project requirements and specifications.
Develop system layouts, schematics, and detailed drawings for mechanical and electrical systems using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop integrated solutions for complex engineering projects.
System Installation & Commissioning: Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical and electrical systems in line with project timelines and industry standards.
Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues that arise during installation or testing phases.
Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Provide ongoing maintenance, troubleshooting, and support for mechanical and electrical systems to ensure continued operation.
Perform regular system inspections and recommend improvements or repairs to enhance performance.
Create and maintain accurate technical documentation, including manuals, maintenance procedures, and system specifications.
Ensure all engineering designs comply with regulatory standards and quality control processes.
Project Management Support: Assist in the planning, budgeting, and scheduling of engineering projects.
Support the project manager by tracking progress, managing resources, and ensuring milestones are met.
Compliance & Safety: Ensure compliance with all applicable electrical, mechanical, and safety regulations.
Perform risk assessments and provide recommendations for system improvements to enhance safety and efficiency.
Collaboration: Work closely with other engineers, designers, and technicians to achieve project goals.
Participate in meetings to discuss project developments, technical requirements, and solutions.
Required Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Experience: 3 years of experience in mechanical and electrical engineering roles.
Technical Skills: Proficiency with engineering design software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Revit, etc.).
Strong understanding of electrical circuits, power distribution systems, PLCs, motors, and mechanical systems.
Experience with mechanical and electrical testing equipment and tools.
Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to solve complex engineering problems.
Attention to Detail: Strong focus on precision, quality, and adhering to engineering standards.
