Role: Graduate Flood Risk Consultant
Location: Aberdeen
My client, an innovative UK-based Engineering Consultancy specializing in Civil, Structural, and Infrastructure Engineering, is seeking a Graduate Flood Risk Consultant to join their established team in Aberdeen.
Applicants should have a strong academic background in a relevant discipline, such as a BSc and/or MSc in Hydrology, Hydroinformatics, or Environmental Management, with a dissertation focused on Hydrology, SuDS Design, or Flood Risk Assessments.
It is beneficial for applicants to reside locally or have experience working for a UK-based Consultancy or Local Authority on Flood Risk, Hydraulic Modelling, or Drainage projects.
Candidates must live locally or be willing to relocate to Aberdeen, as in-office presence is required for training.
This Hydrology role offers the opportunity to work on Residential, Commercial, and Industrial Development Projects, including Hydrological Assessments, Flood Risk Assessments, Hydraulic Modelling, Drainage Strategies, and Drainage Designs using Microdrainage.
Support will be provided for the following:
1. Flood Risk Assessments for flood zones 1, 2, and 3
2. Hydrological Assessments
3. Surface Water Management Plans
4. Drainage Strategy and detailed Residential Drainage and Sewerage Design using AutoCAD and Microdrainage
5. Drainage Area Planning
6. Civil Engineering design for Residential and Commercial Developments
7. Hydraulic Modelling
