Data Administrator - Energy & Carbon Consultancy\n Manchester \n £25,000 - £28,000\n\nThe Opportunity\n An established and fast-growing consultancy in the energy and carbon sector is seeking a meticulous and proactive Data Administrator to join their dedicated team in South Manchester. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a dynamic organisation that works with a wide range of industrial and commercial clients, helping them navigate the evolving challenges of energy efficiency, carbon reduction, and regulatory compliance.\n\nAbout the Role\n Reporting to the Data Manager, the successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the accurate and timely management of utility and client data - the foundation of the consultancy's services. The work will involve handling data from electricity, gas, and water suppliers, as well as other business-critical metrics such as transport, fuel usage, and production figures.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nSet up and maintain client records within internal systems\nCollect and analyse energy usage and invoice data\nUpload and manage utility bills and consumption records\nLiaise with utility suppliers to resolve billing issues and negotiate refunds or credits where appropriate\nWork with clients and third parties to gather non-utility-related data\nSupport colleagues in delivering efficient, data-driven solutions for clients\nMaintain up-to-date, accurate client data across all platformsSkills & Qualifications:\n\nExperience within the energy sector, particularly with a TPI, broker, or supplier, is advantageous\nHigh level of accuracy and attention to detail\nStrong IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel\nExcellent communication and interpersonal abilities\nStrong organisational and time management skills\nA collaborative approach to working within a team environmentPersonal Qualities, Aptitudes, and Skills:\n\nPragmatic, self-starter who can use their initiative\nAn effective and confident communicator with excellent verbal and written skills\nA proactive learner, able to pick up new skills and concepts quickly\nConfident in articulating their own perspective and contributing to team discussions\nOrganised, professional, enthusiastic, and business-like in approach\nCalm under pressure and able to recognise when support is needed\nA positive team player who is willing to get involved in a range of tasks\nTakes pride in delivering high-quality work\nMust have experience using MS Office and be confident in developing further skills within the programBenefits:\n\nCompany pension scheme\nGenerous annual leave entitlement\nAgile office working consideredIf you are interested in this Data Administrator role, please send your cv to
