Senior Commercial Manager
Location: Remote (occasional travel to Manchester or London)
Contract: 3–6 months (potential extension)
Day Rate: £800–£900 via Umbrella
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Commercial Manager to join our team on an interim basis. You will play a key role as Commercial Lead on major public sector bids, ranging from £25M to £500M. This is an exciting opportunity to work on high-value, complex deals within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead commercial activities on large-scale public sector bids.
* Review and negotiate client contracts and supplier agreements.
* Ensure governance compliance and prepare documentation for divisional and group-level approvals.
* Conduct risk analysis and pricing assessments for bids.
* Represent the commercial function in executive-level meetings.
Skills & Experience
* Proven experience in commercial management within large-scale bids or complex projects.
* Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
* Ability to manage governance processes and engage confidently with senior stakeholders.
* Financial acumen and understanding of risk management.
* Background in legal or finance is advantageous but not essential.
Clearance
* SC clearance desirable but not mandatory.
