New contract requirement for a role an experienced engineer to undertaking in simulation software & test development within an innovative aerospace environment. Required Skills: * Degree or equivalent in Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics. * Strong programming proficiency in C/C++ with experience using Visual Studio. * Understanding of cockpit Human Machine Interface (HMI) systems. * Experience with configuration control tools, particularly Mercurial. * Ability to work independently, think creatively, and adapt to fluid requirements. * Security clearance (or eligibility to obtain one). Nice to Have Skills: * Experience in task leading, including QMS documentation and mentoring. * Familiarity with Linux OS. * Knowledge of avionics or mission systems domains. * Proficiency in Jira for software task management. * Understanding of Simulation Interoperability standards such as HLA, DIS, Link16. * General military aircraft domain interest or experience. Preferred Education and Experience: * Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant engineering discipline. * Proven experience in software development for simulation or aerospace applications, ideally with hands-on involvement in cockpit or avionics systems. Other Requirements: * This position is primarily onsite, requiring a minimum of 4 days per week. * Must hold or be eligible for security clearance. * Enthusiasm for working in a collaborative environment that values innovation, continuous learning, and technical excellence.
