Job Description: Join a fast‑growing fintech as the first Head of Finance, owning the entire financial engine from day‑to‑day operations to strategic modeling. You will manage a £2.5M+ loan book, lead investor reporting, and scale financial systems as the team doubles. What you will do
* Build and maintain the master 3‑statement financial model to forecast runway, revenue, and cash burn across lending and consumer business lines.
* Oversee lending operations and treasury, maintaining the “loan tape” as the single source of truth for all UK hospitality investments and drawdowns.
* Lead all core finance functions including month‑end close in Xero, payroll management, and statutory reporting in partnership with external accountants.
The ideal candidate
* Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA) likely trained at a Big 4 or Top 10 firm within Audit or Transaction Services.
* Advanced financial modeling expert capable of building robust, multi‑entity Excel or Google Sheets models from scratch without breaking.
* Operationally rigorous professional with a “Controller” mindset who possesses the integrity to handle payroll and the gravitas to present to the Board.
