About the Role
I am working with a number of schools across Manchester who are seeking a qualified Mathematics Teacher to join them on a long term basis. These are excellent opportunity’s for a dedicated educator to make a real impact on students’ mathematical understanding and achievement.
Key Responsibilities
1. Deliver engaging and effective mathematics lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
2. Plan, prepare and assess student progress in line with the national curriculum
3. Support students in achieving their full potential in mathematics
4. Maintain high standards of behaviour and create a positive learning environment
5. Work collaboratively with the mathematics department and wider school community
6. Contribute to extra-curricular activities and school life
Essential Requirements
7. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – Essential
8. Degree in Mathematics or related subject
9. Experience teaching mathematics at secondary level
10. Strong classroom management skills
11. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
12. Commitment to raising standards and student achievement
13. Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain)
Desirable Qualifications
14. Experience with GCSE Mathematics curriculum
15. Knowledge of current educational initiatives
16. Additional qualifications in education or mathematics
