The Opportunity
With extensive experience as a Document Controller and a background in new build and refurbishment projects, you will apply your industry knowledge and document management skills to support a new educational development valued at over £30 million.
You will be based on-site, managing document control processes, ensuring accurate and timely distribution of drawings and project documents, maintaining version control and audit trails, liaising with contractors and consultants, and supporting the team in meeting compliance and quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.
What We're Looking For
* At least 3 years of experience working as a Document Controller for a leading construction contractor
* Experience on new build or refurbishment projects with values exceeding £5m
* Proficiency in using document management systems
Key Skills
* Strong IT skills
* Quality control knowledge
* Understanding of standards and regulations
* Excellent communication and attention to detail
* Effective time management and problem-solving skills
* Familiarity with construction documents such as blueprints, specifications, and contracts
Key Responsibilities
* Quality assurance and process management
* Use of document management systems
* Regular reporting to the Project Manager and management team
* Assist with induction process administration
* Provide stakeholders with current and accurate documents
* Ensure compliance with company procedures and standards
* Manage and oversee document control systems
* Train team members on document control procedures
* Generate reports on document status and compliance
* Safeguard sensitive information
* Prepare documents for audits and inspections
* Organize and preserve project documentation
* Establish and maintain electronic and physical filing systems
* Ensure documentation is accessible and well-organized
* Perform general administrative tasks as needed
