SEN Teaching Assistant : Harrow : September Start : Temp to Perm
We are seeking a caring, dedicated, and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist educational provision supporting young people aged 16 to 25 with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and those who are vulnerable or facing significant life challenges, particularly learners on the autism spectrum.

The Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and support staff to provide high:quality classroom and pastoral support. You will help learners engage with education, develop social and communication skills, and build confidence both academically and personally.
SEN Teaching Assistant Responsibilities
* Support students in lessons on an individual and small:group basis
* Assist in implementing personalised learning plans and strategies
* Promote positive behaviour, emotional well being, and engagement
* Support learners with communication, sensory, and social needs
* Work collaboratively with teaching staff and external professionals
* Help create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
* Encourage independence, confidence, and personal development
SEN Teaching Assistant Attributes:
* Experience working with young people with SEN, autism, or additional needs (preferred)
* A patient, calm, and empathetic approach
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* The ability to build positive relationships with learners and staff
* Resilience, adaptability, and a proactive attitude
* A genuine passion for inclusive education and supporting young people
