This is an exciting opportunity to work as a Senior Clinical / Counselling Psychologist in a multi-disciplinary team that warmly welcomes psychological ideas and practices. We are seeking to appoint a band 8A to work in the Salford Division at Cromwell House Community Mental Health Team. We are looking for a Senior Clinical/Counselling Psychologist with enthusiasm and an appreciation of the challenges and rewards of working within a culturally diverse service venturing towards community transformation, supporting the inclusion of the six core therapeutic modalities.

There is also the opportunity to provide assessments and psychological interventions for service users who present with complex mental health needs. Participation in audit, research, service development initiatives and teaching and training will be encouraged and supported. The post holder will also be an active member of the CMHT and will liaise across all sectors of care, providing highly specialist psychological assessment and therapy for clients with complex psychological needs, offering advice and consultation on clients’ psychological care to non‑psychologist colleagues, as well as to other carers and staff members of other agencies where appropriate. The post will also support the provision of psychological interventions as part of the virtual psychology hub, which may mean some citywide working.
