The role
As a Senior Cost Controller, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll enhance project performance and stability through the collection, analysis, and reporting of meaningful cost information, enabling informed decision-making at program and project levels. Day-to-day, you’ll oversee cost performance baselines, manage changes, deliver accurate monthly reports, analyse data to drive decisions, and coordinate forecasts across the project.
1. Managing actuals against multiple cost performance baselines
2. Managing change across performance baselines
3. Producing internal and external monthly reporting
4. Conducting data analysis and providing recommendations
5. Coordinating forecasts from activity owners
This role is full time, 35 hours per week and is based on site at Devonport Royal Dockyard
Essential experience of the Senior Cost Controller
6. Experience in a cost control or cost management environment
7. Understanding of project controls, including cost control, earned value, finance, scheduling, or estimating
8. Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
9. Data analysis experience with proficiency in Excel
10. Personal effectiveness and drive
Qualifications for the Senior Cost Controller
11. Degree-level education or APMP qualification (or equivalent experience)
12. Experience with cost management systems (e.g. Cobra, Ecosys)

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) / Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
