As an Omakase Junior Sous Chef, we would love you to have:
Proven experience as a Sushi or Omakase Chef, ideally in a fine dining or high-volume environment.
Strong knowledge of Japanese culinary techniques, Omakase traditions, and respect for seasonality.
Exceptional knife skills and ability to work with premium sushi knives with precision and safety.
Experience supporting senior chefs and the ability to take ownership in the Head/Sous Chefs absence.
A strong sense of creativity, with an eye for presentation and detail.
Solid understanding of food safety, hygiene, and sanitation practices.
Ability to train, mentor, and inspire junior chefs, ensuring consistent quality and standards.
Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with both the kitchen and front-of-house.
Drive, ambition, and a desire to grow within a pioneering, trend-setting restaurant.
Good English language communication skills and openness to continuous learning.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Proof of right to work / pre-settled status in the UK.
