Job Summary
Family Solicitor, 5+ PQE, Bedfordshire. Salary up to £55–65k (DOE). Responsibilities
* Manage a diverse and complex family law caseload, including high‑value and high‑net‑worth matters involving property, pensions and business assets, as well as divorce, financial remedies, private children law, domestic violence and cohabitation disputes.
* Mentor and develop junior staff, ensuring high‑quality work across the team.
* Participate in business development initiatives, build and maintain client relationships and support strategic planning for the Family Department, including growth and recruitment.
* Demonstrate excellent mediation and communication skills, manage a busy workload efficiently, meet tight deadlines and deliver the best possible outcomes for clients.
* Apply strong organisational and time‑management skills, prioritise a busy portfolio and utilise legal case‑management and billing systems.
* Work within a supportive and collaborative environment with a clear pathway to promotion based on performance.
Qualifications and Skills
* Strong expertise in divorce, financial remedies, children law and high‑net‑worth cases.
* Excellent mediation, communication, organisational and time‑management skills.
* Experience with legal case‑management and billing systems.
