This is a fantastic opportunity to bring your skills to a busy, rewarding role where you'll manage recruitment processes from start to finish and assist in ensuring the smooth, accurate delivery of monthly payroll. You'll be central to keeping our HR operations running efficiently, supporting both staff and the wider school community.
What You'll Do
* Administer the full recruitment lifecycle – from advertising vacancies to coordinating interviews and welcoming new starters
* Support induction processes, ensuring a positive experience for all new colleagues
* Assist with payroll preparation each month, including new starters, leavers, contract changes, pensions, overtime, and allowances
* Maintain accurate HR and payroll records, ensuring compliance with GDPR and safeguarding standards
* Be a first point of contact for HR queries, providing a professional, approachable service to staff
* Contribute to a wide range of HR and school initiatives, working closely with colleagues across the school community
* All with the support of experienced Head of HR and Payroll & HR Officers
What We're Looking For
Essential:
* Proven payroll experience (minimum 2 years) – accurate, end-to-end processing is at the heart of this role
* Previous experience in a recruitment or HR role
* Knowledge of statutory payroll requirements
* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
* Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise under pressure
* Confident communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships
* Discretion when handling confidential information
Desirable:
* CIPD Level 3 qualification
* Experience using HR information systems (e.g. iSAMs, MHR iTrent)
* Familiarity with Microsoft 365, recruitment platforms, and social media for recruitment
* Experience working in a school or similar environment

Working Arrangements:
· 30 hours per week, these may be worked flexibly with some weeks flexing up and some down
· On site working
· 34 weeks Term Time plus an additional 6 weeks

· £18,000 to £20,500 actual salary, including holiday pay, depending on experience
