Fire Engineer job in Sunderland for an established fire engineering consultancy. As a member of the Fire Engineering team, you will deliver small to medium-scale fire engineering projects across a variety of sectors. The role offers a salary of £42,000 – £50,000, a 4.5-day week, private healthcare, 28 days annual leave + BH, and professional development opportunities.

Role & Responsibilities
1. Lead and manage small to medium fire engineering projects, taking ownership of deliverables
2. Produce fire safety strategies, technical reports, and performance-based design solutions
3. Provide technical advice to clients, design teams, and authorities having jurisdiction
4. Participate in design team meetings and site inspections
5. Support junior engineers and graduates, contributing to their development
6. Stay up to date with UK fire safety legislation, guidance, and industry best practices
Required Skills & Experience
7. Degree qualified in Fire Engineering (BEng/BSc/MSc) and ideally working towards Chartered status
8. Practical experience delivering fire engineering solutions for UK projects
9. Strong knowledge of UK legislation, guidance, and design standards
10. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
11. Ability to manage multiple projects and work collaboratively in a team environment
12. UK driving licence preferred but not essential
