Senior Community Reablement Officer

We have an exciting opportunity in Adult Social Care! We are seeking to recruit 8 Senior Community Reablement Officers to join the Council’s Active Reablement team. The team provides short-term, bespoke Reablement interventions aimed at supporting customers' health, wellbeing, and independence.
We are looking for individuals with a positive attitude, enthusiasm, innovation, and a passion for working with people. The role involves delivering person-centred, outcomes-focused services that promote independence. Candidates should have knowledge and experience working within a team and independently, with awareness of manual handling, health and safety, and risk assessment.
The successful candidates will understand how to support clients in maintaining independence, choice, and wellbeing, and will assist the Active Reablement Manager in ensuring a high-quality, regulated reablement service. There may be opportunities to deputise for the manager as needed.
Applicants should have experience working with vulnerable clients within a safeguarding framework, understanding relevant legislation, and be familiar with confidentiality, data protection, report writing, and multi-agency collaboration.
The service operates across the borough with a 7-day shift rota. Successful applicants will have the opportunity to attain a CQC-recognised Care Certificate.
Essential requirements include being an essential car user, holding a current clean driving licence, and being able to travel across the borough. An Enhanced DBS check is also required.
This is a full-time role (36 hours per week).
