Our Assistant Maintenance Planner will play a crucial role in supporting the effective and efficient operation of our maintenance department. This role involves coordinating and scheduling maintenance activities, managing resources, and optimising workflow to minimise downtime and maximise productivity. What you’ll be doing as our Assistance Maintenance Planner: Collaborate with maintenance engineers, technicians and supervisors to develop and maintain a comprehensive maintenance schedule. Generate, review, and distribute work orders for scheduled maintenance tasks. Ensure work orders contain detailed task instructions & Safety risk assessment details. Support with procurement of necessary parts, tooling & equipment for scheduled maintenance activity. Monitor and update preventive maintenance schedules regularly review and refine the maintenance schedule to optimize its effectiveness and address any issues Plan & schedule follow-on actions from preventative maintenance tasks Ensure that all maintenance activities comply with relevant safety and regulatory standards. Liaise with various departments (e.g., operations, engineering) to coordinate maintenance activities with production schedules and project timelines. Communicate effectively with maintenance team members to relay instructions, updates, and changes in schedules. The Skills, Knowledge and Experience you will need as our Assistant Maintenance Planner : Proficient in computerised related software. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities. Good working knowledge of safety protocols and regulations. The ability to collaborate with different teams and departments is important for successful maintenance planning. Need to have: Vocational certificates in relevant trades (like mechanical engineering or fabrication). Candidates without these qualifications but who can demonstrate relevant industrial knowledge and experience will be considered. Minimum 3 years’ experience working within a Maintenance/Engineering environment Clear and concise communication is essential for conveying information about the maintenance schedule, tasks, and any potential issues.
