Are you passionate about inspiring the next generation of accountants? We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Accountancy Lecturer to join our Adult Skills team. This is an exciting opportunity to deliver high-quality teaching across our Accountancy programmes, helping learners achieve their full potential in a supportive and inclusive environment.
You’ll be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons, assessing student progress, and contributing to curriculum development. Whether you’re an experienced lecturer or a qualified accountant looking to move into education, we’d love to hear from you.
This is a Fixed Term role up to 12 months (Maternity Cover)
Essential Criteria
To be successful in this role, you must have:
1. A relevant Accountancy qualification at Level 3 or above
2. Minimum Level 2 in English and Maths (or equivalent)
3. A teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one
4. Relevant industry experience in accountancy
5. Strong organisational, analytical, and communication skills
Key Responsibilities
6. Deliver engaging and inclusive teaching across Accountancy programmes
7. Develop curriculum materials and assess student work effectively
8. Monitor attendance, behaviour, and progress, providing tailored support
9. Embed Maths, English, and Digital Skills into lessons
10. Support recruitment and enrolment activities, including open days and events
11. Contribute to quality assurance processes and continuous improvement
12. Maintain accurate records and support learners with SMART targets
13. Participate in team meetings, training, and professional development
