The role:
As one of our Teaching Assistants, your role will be to support a student on a 2:1 basis to enable the student to access learning both at Wilden View and also off site - willingness or ability to be involved practical activities would be an advantage
You will be expected to establish a warm, caring and supportive relationship with the student in order to support them feeling safe and enabling them to enjoy and learn during their time at the School, and to promote and encourage independence and personal development.

Skills and Qualifications
Experience & Qualifications:
1. Working towards Level 2 award in Support work in schools or an equivalent is desirable
2. GCSE Maths and English Level 2/C or above qualification is essential.
3. Understanding of the Safeguarding principles and Child Protection procedures.
4. some experience of working with SEMH learners with complex needs and challenging behaviour in a school environment
5. Commitment to the role, the desire to put the child first and treat them as an individual
6. Be positive and creative in meeting pupils’ needs
7. Full clean driving licence
