Cover Supervisor – Christchurch Contract: Full-time / Temporary (with potential for permanent opportunities) Salary: Competitive daily rate (dependent on experience) A well‑respected secondary school in Christchurch is seeking a confident and motivated Cover Supervisor to join their supportive and professional team. The Role As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a key role in maintaining continuity of learning during teacher absence. Your responsibilities will include: Supervising classes across a range of subjects using pre-set lesson plans Creating and maintaining a calm, focused and productive learning environment Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies Supporting pupils to stay on task and engage with their learning Assisting with additional duties when not required to cover lessons The Ideal Candidate Has a genuine interest in supporting young people and education Is confident, adaptable and able to manage a classroom effectively Demonstrates strong communication and behaviour management skills Is flexible and comfortable working across different subjects and year groups Builds positive relationships with pupils and staff Requirements Previous experience working with young people is desirable but not essential A valid Child only Enhanced DBS certificate is required, or willingness to obtain one in line with safeguarding and DfE guidance Why Apply?
