The opportunity has arisen to join an industry leader in UK’s Building Services providers. We design, develop and deliver a wide range of offsite-prefabricated, innovative and sustainable building service solutions throughout the UK & Europe.
Alternative Heat specialises in the design, supply and installation of a wide range of Pre-Fabricated energy solutions, typically built in NI and shipped throughout the UK & Europe. We also offer turnkey design, build & operate solutions for commercial energy centers and large-scale district heating solutions and have experience with successfully procuring and delivering many similar packages to a wide range of public body’s throughout UK & Europe.
Due to continued growth we are looking for a Warehouse Operative / Stock Controller to play a key role in the day to day running of warehouse operations, ensuring that goods are received, stored, and dispatched accurately and efficiently. You’ll be part of a fast-paced environment where attention to detail, teamwork, and reliability are essential. The role involves both manual handling and the use of warehouse equipment, with a strong focus on maintaining a clean, organised, and safe working environment.

Hours | Monday - Thursday 7am - 5pm, Friday 7am - 3pm
Salary | Competitive depending on experience
Responsible to | Multi-Site Warehouse Manager
Key Responsibilities
Receiving & Inspection:
Unload deliveries, check for accuracy and quality of goods, and report any discrepancies or damages.
Order Picking & Packing:
Accurately pick items according to order specifications and securely pack them for dispatch.
Stock Management:
Organise and store inventory in the correct locations. Conduct regular stock checks and assist with inventory control.
Dispatch & Loading:
Prepare and label shipments, load goods onto vehicles safely and in line with delivery schedules.
Health & Safety Compliance:
Adhere to all health and safety guidelines, maintain a clean and organized work area, and use equipment responsibly.
Equipment Handling:
Operate warehouse tools and machinery such as pallet jacks, forklifts (if trained), and barcode scanners.
Documentation & Reporting:
Complete relevant paperwork and digital records accurately, including delivery notes, stock movements, and inventory updates.
Team Collaboration:
Work closely with colleagues across departments to meet daily targets and improve warehouse efficiency.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
* Previous warehouse or logistics experience (preferred but not essential)
* Physically fit and capable of lifting/moving heavy items
* Good organizational and time-management skills
* Basic literacy and numeracy skills
* A proactive, positive attitude and a strong work ethic
* Forklift license (desirable but not mandatory)
