Our client one of Northern Ireland's leading Food Manufacturers growing year on year has a fantastic opportunity within their growing finance team as a Commercial Finance Manager. This role will take lead in production for weekly and monthly commercial reporting along with robust analysis of business opportunities allowing the commercial team to create revenue growth and margin enhancements to business objectives.
Ideally, the successful applicant will have strong financial modelling experience and prior experience in providing commercial analysis. Moreover, they will be a qualified accountant with at least 2 years of prior experience within a similar position.
Main Tasks
1. Working closely with the Commercial Team as a business partner.
2. Weekly and monthly sales and margin analysis, commentary, and KPI summaries.
3. Provide expertise and guidance on using reporting tools such as Qlik and Microsoft Navision.
4. Assist commercial teams in evaluating opportunities to drive revenue growth and improve margins.
5. Promote improvements and standardisation in finance and commercial processes to enhance efficiency and KPI reporting quality.
6. Assess promotional plans and track their performance against expectations.
7. Support analysis related to inflation recovery.
8. Contribute to sales forecasting and budgeting activities.
Criteria
9. Qualified Accountant with recognised accounting body with at least 2 years of prior experience in a similar position.
10. Advanced skills in financial modelling, including data manipulation and pivot table use.
11. Strong communication skills with the ability to comfortably communicate across all levels.
12. Previous experience within a manufacturing/FMCG environment would be ideal but not essential.
13. Previous experience providing commercial analysis and business evaluation opportunities.
